Hands with Hands is an organization run by a good friend of ours Kira Kay in Nepal. Velocity has assisted Hands with Hands with funding to support building of orphanages in Nepal, as well as medical care and other direct immediate aid. Our focus at the moment is to support Microfinance Projects, working on supplying impoverished people with the skills and access to capital through low interest loans to pull themselves out of poverty. This has proven to be the most effective strategy we have been involved in to date over the past 3 years. Hands with Hands unlike other larger charities around the world, works on getting as close to 100% of all funds directly to where it is needed on the ground thereby minimizing wastage on admin.
